The Prestige

Last night, Ritchell and I went to see the movie "The Prestige." Ritchell and I do not go out to see movies very often in theaters because we cannot justify spending that much money on a movie. We know the movie will be in a redbox in a few months. We usually can get redbox movies for free because there are so many promo codes. Last night was a treat for us though. We got the movie tickets for free from a local furniture store.

It was nice to watch a movie on the big screen again, but we got there a little late and our seats were in the front row. Two hours looking straight up at a movie doesn't do good for your neck.

I thought the movie was interesting. It had a lot of surprise elements in it, and then there were also moments that were very predictable. The movie is essentially about 2 magicians that have a rivalry throughout their careers. Each of them try their best to find out each others' secrets. The movie shows how their rivalry eventually becomes an obsession and it leads both of them to their ultimate demise. That's all I can say without giving away the end of the movie. I think the movie had a good story. It shows that revenge and rivalries are not worth it.

I can't believe that it is already November. Where did October go? It seems like only a few days ago it was the first week of October. I have an idea why October went by so fast for me. October always means it's time for the playoffs. Yes, I am a big fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. This, I believe, is where my October went. I spent most of my nights glued to the TV rooting for my home team. I must say that it was enjoyable, exciting, and surprising to see the Cardinals go all the way this year. Ritchell and I enjoyed watching the games together and hope the Cards can keep it up next year.

'Til next time...So long from Bloggin' Land.
