Spring is here

Well, it turned out that the job in the Philippines never really existed. I was scammed. The so called interview that I had was really just an hour of some recruiting agency trying to get me to use them to help me get a job. So... it really was just a dream job. It was quite disappointing, and really made me mad, but I'm over it now.

It's nice that spring is finally here. We have had beautiful weather the past few weeks. It has been nice not needing a jacket anymore. Ritchell and I have gotten ambitious and decided we want to redo our front yard as far as plants are concerned. We made a trip to Wal-Mart yesterday and bought a few new bushes, trees, and lots of flowers and dirt. We tore out our old bushes that we didn't like and are planting the new ones. It took us all day in the yard pruning, and tearing out the old stuff. We only got one part of the yard actually done and planted. Hopefully we'll have some time this week to finish the job.

We were also able to find a really good deal on carpet this past week and will be getting new carpet installed in most of our house. We've decided that the master bedroom and baby room will definitely get new carpet, but are still thinking if we want to replace the carpet in our living room. The estimator still hasn't come out to do measurements. When they do come, we will have them measure the whole house so we can compare our options.

School is winding down. Most of my major projects are completed. In a few weeks, finals will be over and I'll get to take a nice break from school. I'm hoping it will allow me more time to work on our house. I have a lot of plans for the summer....as long as we can find the funding for them.

Ritchell is doing well with the pregnancy. She is still getting bigger and the baby seems to be kicking a lot more. Sometimes the baby keeps her awake at night...especially when she eats a lot of sugar during the day.

Ritchell and I took a trip to Salt Lake City this past Friday. We drove up to Sandy and then took TRAX from there up into the city. It was a fun little date. We ate at the ZCMI mall and then walked around temple square. We ended up watching the new movie they have in the Joseph Smith Memorial building called "Joseph Smith." It was a very good film. We enjoyed it and recommend it.
